It is the artist's task to explore and expose obscure areas of thought and matter, enabling the unnoticeable to be noticed. The artist presents a vision of reality not frequently experienced by most.
In my art, I am most often exploring and expressing my connection with the natural world. My observations of nature collect in a pool of ideas that resurface in various forms throughout my artwork. My current exploration of these ideas is through found object art. I find that common objects have an intrinsic beauty that remains undiscovered until revealed by manipulating the angles of observation or enhancing the surfaces. Although the result may not be a direct representation of the natural world, it embodies subtle yet powerful relationships found in nature.
